A very old probably 17 C. version of the famous Kattar (Katar). A development stage between the Pata, the long gauntlet sword and the Kattar, the short push dagger. It has a broad multi fullered blade 17 inches long and more than 2 ˝ inches wide at its upper part. The handle is protected with a steel hood reinforced to the handle side bars with decorative steel arches. Alls handle parts are decorated with simple engraving and brass rivets. The “hood” tip is shaped in a styled monster head. 24 inches total length. Very good condition considering its age. A very rare find.
