Bullova War Axe - India - 6630


The BULLOVA is the traditional fighting axe of the Chota Nagpur aboriginal tribes of central India. The blade is made of hand forged and steel and it is 13 inches tip to tip. It is mounted on a dark wood shaft through its heavy socket, secured in place by iron strip bound on the haft below the head. The ends of the wood haft are fitted with decorated bronze fittings and the top one mounted with a short steel spike. Very good condition, attractive price.
