This very good Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style characterized by the silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. It is not necessarily from Mecca and can be found in many regions around and as far as Hadramouth in South Yemen. Early to mid 20 C. Massive blade 8 inches long with a pronounced central rib. The grip is silver set with filigree panels. The scabbard is heavy pierced engraved and filigree silver. Very Good condition. Good age patina on the silver. The leather back cover is recent.
