From Kordofan in South Sudan comes this rare dagger / short sword. Some references attribute it to the Hausa people from central and southern Sahara. Fine 19 inches steel blade of flat diamond cross section, engraved with geometrical pattern. Big Rhinoceros horn handle with a lunette shaped pommel. Scabbard covered with Crocodile skin and with wide arm band. Total length 25 inches. Very good condition. Scabbard lightly worn and with some losses.
