An exceptional Large Fighting Talibong Sword - Philippines - 14789

The Talibong sword is the main battle sword of the Christian tribes of northern Philippines. Some times also referred to as Garab. The blade is curved, very heavy 23 inches long and inch thick at its base. It is forged from finely laminated steel and it is deadly sharp. The wood handle is finely carved and bound with braided rattan strips. Carved wood scabbard with rattan binding and original fabric belt loop. Very good condition. One of the pommel side tips is missing. A fine authentic, 19 C. hard to find complete and original sword.
