| Very Good Silver Mounted Sabiki Jambiya Dagger from the Hijaz - 14786 
 
  
 This type of long Jambiya dagger Sabiki is common in the Western regions of Arabia, Hijaz and Asir. Sometimes it is referred to by collectors as Wahabite style. The one offered here is of good quality , the blade is well made, high carbon steel with a strong central rib, 16 inches long.  The grips are horn with silver filigree panels. The scabbard is wood with big silver locket,  and  chape also with filigree decoration. This  Jambiya comes with its original leather belt  embroidered with colored leather strips. Total length 21  inches. Very good condition. small repairs on the belt. Complete authentic dagger. Late 19 - early 20 C.     |
