This Jambiya dagger is Yemenite, Assib style probably from Sa'da region, early 20 C or earlier. Very well made massive blade 8 inches long with a pronounced central rib. Wood grip with brass mount and old silver Ottoman coin. Fabric covered scabbard with big engraved brass chape and front face brass locket (Later). Leather covered back side of the scabbard. Total length 14 inches. Good condition. Good early exemplar.
