Fine Tibetan Belt - 14769

Although not really a weapon, belts are used by each man and woman in Tibet to carry a utility knife / Dagger, powder flasks, flint pockets and other accessories. This belt is of top quality workmanship and probably belonged to a high ranking person. It is composed of long leather belt mounted with 5 steel links richly pierced in a classical Tibetan style. Two steel hanging rings and a steel buckle. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Fine late 19C. artifact |
