This is a short Chinese straight sword Jian from the late 19 or early 20 C. The straight blade of flat diamond cross section is 18 ¼ inches long with the seven brass dot inlaid “stars”. Ribbed wood grip, beautifully engraved brass fitting on a wood scabbard covered with green dyed ray skin. Very good condition.
