This is a classical fine 19 C. Persian Shamshir sword with 18 C. signed blade of fine high contrast wootz steel. Blade length 33 1/2 inches. Walrus ivory grips and steel pommel cover (restored). Finely chiseled steel cross guard with traces of gold decoration, and steel grip strap. Total length 38 inches. very good condition. highly polished blade. Minor age cracks on the grip. No scabbard. Impressive sword.
