There are various opinions regarding this knife: A battle knife?? A working tool? A ceremonial ?? We are not quite sure but the quality of the blade and the workmanship suggests a good working implement that can easily be used as a weapon. Most probably from Thailand. Massive, heavy blade 7 1/2 inches long with a brass bolster. Long uprising handle made from a massive single piece of water buffalo black horn. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the blade. Authentic knife. Early 20 C.
