Trumbash the classical sickle shaped axe of the mangbetu people residing in Central Africa. Originally used as a weapon of war and as an agricultural implement, but later on developed into luxury item and a symbol of status. The one offered here for sale is an early 20 C. piece, sickle shaped. 8 inches (point to point) blade with a strong central rib. Wood handle bound at its top part with twisted iron wires. 14 inches total length (tip of blade to pommel). Very good condition. Very Low price.
