Long Choora Dagger from the Khayber Pass - 14538


A “CHOORA”, typical example of the dagger of the Mahsud people residing the Khaybar pass area between Pakistan and Afghanistan. This specific example is late 19 - early 20th C. with a 12 1/2 inches long blade with a strong T spine (Longer than the average 8-9 inches blades). Horn grips inserted with iron nails and steel bolsters and grip strap. Wood scabbard covered with tooled leather. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition.
