Very Good Penai, Sword of the Toraja, Sulawezi - 14406


This form of sword is called Penai and used by the Toraja people from Sulawezi. It is characterized by the peculiar shape hilt. The laminated blade is 19 inches long. The hilt is carved from horn and the scabbard is carved dark hard wood bounded with rattan bands. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition.
