Good Dayak Mandau Headhunter sword - 14403

This MANDAU (sometimes also called “Parang Ihlang”) is early - mid 20th C. with a heavy 23 1/2 inches long thick and very well made blade. The handle is “L” shaped, carved from antler and bound with twisted and braided brass wires. Carved wood scabbard bound with colored rattan strips. Original braided rattan belt with shell amulet. Total length 30 inches. Very good condition. Very low price.
