This fine Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style characterized by the silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. It is not necessarily from Mecca and can be found in many regions around and as far as Hadramouth in South Yemen. Early 20 C. The blade is of good quality, 8 ½ inches long double edge with a central rib. The grip is Rhino horn with silver decoration and silver rosettes. The scabbard is heavy engraved and filigree silver. Very good condition.
