This very good harpoon spear is Congolese, unknown tribe. Early – mid 20C . Short Heavy barbed blade 3 1/2 inches long on a 12 inches tang. The blade can be detached from the haft and held by a thick long braided cord. Wood haft bound with copper and brass strips with a swollen and carved grip. Cord length about 3 meters. Total length 60 inches. Very good condition.
