A very nice small RENTONG knife / dagger from Sumatra, mostly used by the Acehnese people from North West Sumatra. The blade is 5 1/2 inches long down curving and single edged and fullered. The hilt is black horn sharply up-curving.. The scabbard is also carved from a single piece of black horn. Very good condition. A very nice piece from the second half of the 20 C, attractive and decorative item.
