This machete like short heavy knife is a Bendo from Java, Indonesia. Late 19 - early 20 C. The heavy marked blade is 11 ½ inches long 3 1/2 inches wide, forged from pamor steel. Black horn handle. Wood scabbard bound with braided rattan bands and with horn / ivory mouth. Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. This item comes with its original red colored carrying rope.
