Up for sale is this early 19 C. Turkish short gun. Very fine octagonal shaped twisted steel rifled barrel, 25 inches long, Miquelet lock of fine quality, marked with the British wide arrow mark, richly inlaid with silver and dated to 1228 ( 1813 in the Gregorian calendar). The wood stock and butt are inlaid with green dyed ivory and set with brass inserts. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. Lock in working order. The trigger needs a minor adjustment. A crack in the wood near the muzzle. A very fine piece.
