This Fine Kard knife is Persian, late 18C. Massive 10 inches blade forged from fine wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel with good contrast pattern. The blade forte and the spine as well as the steel grip strap are finelt chiseled and with traces of gold inlay decoration. Walrus ivory grips. Wood scabbard with leather cover and large chased silver locket and chape. Total length 19 inches. Very good plus condition.
