Up for sale this very fine and extremely rare Ottoman battle axe. The blade is 6 X 3 inches beautifully inlaid with silver in clasical pattern. Catalog or inventory number 1956.318 is painted on the back of the axe blade. The shaft is wood covered with fadded blue velvet (later) and mounted with chased silver mounts. total length 25 inches. earlyLate 17 or 18C, Turkey or eastern Ottoman empire.
