This very fine heavy knife is a version of a Dah, probably Burma, early to mid 19 C. The heavy, slightly down curving heavy blade is 13 inches long wsith a 9 inches false edge. The handle is massive, finely carved from a single piece elephant ivory with a silver collar. Black lacquered wood scabbard with silver mounts, bound with silver straps. Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. Fine and impressive item.
