This very good Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style characterized by the silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. It is not necessarily from Mecca and can be found in many regions around and as far as Hadramouth in South Yemen. Early to mid 20 C. Massive blade 8 inches long. The grip is silver set with filigree panels. The scabbard is heavy pierced engraved and filigree silver. Very Good condition. Slightly dented silver . Cracks and solders repairs on the back of the handle. The leather back cover is recent.
