We offer for sell this Flyssa, the traditional sword of the Kabyles people of Morocco. These type of swords come with blades of various sizes from 12 up to 38 inches. This one is rather long and heavy 36 ½ inch long, with a 31 ½ inches blade. It is single edge widening to its maximum about 13 inches from the tip. The blade is inlaid with brass decoration. The hilt is a combination of steel and wood covered with engraved brass in a styled animal head. The scabbard is wood, carved in a classical local style and bound with brass bands. Very good condition. This is a real and very impressive fighting weapon, quite rare at these dimensions and with the original scabbard. Probably from the early 20 Century.
