Up for sale is this very good classical Yataghan sword from the Balkan region of the Ottoman empire. The blade is 20 1/2 inches long decorated with silver inlay (True inlay) inscriptions and date 1223 (1808 in the Gregorian calendar). Buffalo horn grips with big side ears and finely chased silver grip strap and bolsters. Total length 26 inches. Very good condition. This yataghan comes with a newly made scabbard (not shown).
