This style of yataghan with wide T shaped pommel ears are believed to come from central Turkey. This one has a blade of 26 inches long with a strong T spine and a central rib. The blade is set with silver inlay (true inlay) of Arabic letters and decoration. Horn grips and pommel. Pommel width 5 1/2 inches. Total length 35 inches. This Yataghan comes with a newly made wood scabbard (Not shown). Very good condition. Early 19C. Rare Yataghan.
