We offer for sale this superb fine early 18 Century Indo-Persian Khyber sword, dated to (1)131 (corresponding to 1718 in the Gregorian calendar). A very fine 16 inches long, single edge blade with pronounced T spine, forged from very fine Persian wootz (Damascus) steel signed and dated. Ivory grips with heavy steel bolsters. Wood scabbard covered with leather and mounted with silver locket. Very Good condition. The grip strap and bolsters are later to the blade. The tip of the scabbard is lightly worn. A fine piece of quality, for the advanced collector one of the finest we have seen .
