A 19 C. Hooded kattar in the style of the old 17 C. version which was a development stage between the Pata, the long gauntlet sword and the Kattar, the short push dagger. It has a broad fullered blade 14 inches long with a thickened tip for armor piercing. The a handle protected with a steel hood. The blade, side bars and the hood are richly decorated with chiseled hunting scenes, elephants and flowers. 18 inches total length. Very good condition.
