We offer for sale this nice short Yatagan with a 12 inches straight blade dated 1229 ( 1813). Ivory grips and silver strap with Niello design. There is Arabic inscription on the silver bolster top side. Embossed silver scabbard in typical 19 C. Ottoman style. Total length (in scabbard) 19 ½ Inches. Very good condition. Good patina on the blade with minor spots of light pitting. Probably of Turkish origin, this is a very good complet item, all authentic.
