This Keris dagger is most probably Java, late 19C., with an earlier blade and a Madura style handle. Wavy blade of good pamor steel, with an image of a lion chiseled at the base of the blade, 15 ½ inches long. Finely carved wood handle with brass mendak. Scabbard with chased brass cover. Total length 19 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Patinated blade. Light dents on the back of the scabbard.
