Up for sale is this Keris dagger with very unusual handle and scabbard, probably 19 C., origin not certain. The blade looks quite old, pamor structure. The interesting handle is cut and shaped from a shrub root forming an unusual shape. Gilded mendak Java style. Scabbard also composed of a shrub root top. Blade 11 inches. Total length 18. Good condition. Blade lightly worn. Good age patina on the wood parts.
