German hunting sword, probably late 18 - early 19 C, employing an early blade, may be as early as 16 C. with a mark of the Running Wolf of Passau and Solingen. We are not sure as to the authenticity of the mark but the quality of the blade may suggest it is original mark. Hardwood grip with silver collar and cross guard and pommel cap. leather scabbard with white metal mounts. Blade 23 inches, total 30 inches. Very good condition.
