Up for sale is this beautiful Persian or Caucasian Qama. It has a fine 13 1/2 inches double edged fullered blade with etched fullers to imitate pattern welded steel. The base of the blade is finely chiseled. The handle is carved from single a ivory piece with inscription in Arabic letters in black ink. The wood scabbard covered with green velvet (Later) and mounted with silver mounts chased with very nice floral pattern. Total length 22 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Early 19C. a fine item.
