Large Arab Knife / Dagger Shafra . - 13916

This knife is known as Shafra or Kusha. This is a larger exemplar than usual and hence it is not carried in attached to the rear side of the Khanjar. The blade is 10 inches long, down curving with traces of pattern, may be a pattern welded steel. The grip is wood covered with filigree silver. Filigree silver covered scabbard set with red stone (glass?). Part of the rear side is iron sheet. Total length 16 inches. Very good condition. Saudi Arabia origin, second half of the 20 C.
