A knife of the Taiwanese people - a very fine example of a very rare knife. The single edge blade is 19 inches long half diamond cross section. The handle is wood, painted red with heavy brass bolster, brass wire binding. and round and oval metal inserts. black and gold and set with metal strips and round inserts. The sheath is wood half open with brass strip and decoration holding the blade in position. Back side of the scabbard is painted red. Total length 26 inches. Very good condition. A fine and rare mid 19 C. Authentic knife.
