This rare sword with a peculiar shaped sabre blade is coming from the Gbaya people. Well forged blade 16 1/2 inches long. Wood handle. The handle and the lower part of the blade are bound with brass wire. Total length 21 inches. Very good condition. A similar blade shape is found also in a throwing knife of the Gbaya people. Authentic item. Early 20C.
