Up for sale is this very good Vietnamese saber also known as Guom. The single edged massive and fullered blade is slightly curved 23 inches long. The hilt is composed of bone grip with ivory lion head pommel and engraved brass cross guard and D guard. The scabbard is wood with finely chased brass fittings and inlaid with Mother of Pearl inscription and decoration. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. Minor chips on the ivory pommel.
