The Ethiopian saber, also known as Gurade characterized by a curved single edge blade and mounted with typical Ethiopian horn hilt. This specific one has a 33 inches long blade probably a secondary use of a European military saber. The hilt is made of massive single piece of black Bakelite and the pommel cap is dome shaped engraved silver. Original scabbard covered with tooled leather and faded velvet with a long silver chape and silver bands. Total length 43 inches. Very good condition.
