We offer for sale this rare short dagger of the Mangbetu. The Mangbetu people live in north east Congo and are famous for their high quality art and craft especially musical instruments and weapons. The dagger has double edged blade perfectly forged and pierced, 6 inches long. Finely carved ivory handles with a face shaped pommel. Total length 9 inches. Very good plus condition. Early 20th Century.
