Pair of Horn Walking sticks / Thrust Weapons - 13656

We are not sure as for the use and origin of this pair of horns but we think it is coming from east Africa, Sudan or may be Egypt, late 19 - early 20 C. Staff / Walking Stick or a thrust weapon? Straight 28 inches long horns most probably Oryx horns and with sharpened tips. Wood handles painted black. Total length 37 inches. very good condition. Very minor losses to the paint on the handles. Either a tool, weapon or walking sticks we are not sure. A similar horn in the British museum (item As+6045) is attributed to Sri Lanka, and several similar ones in the Pitt Rivers museum (for example item 1915.25.01) are attributed to Sudan.
