A Very Good Kaskara Sword With Silver Hilt - 13627
A very good, and complete 19th century Sudanese Kaskara sword. The Massive blade is 34 inches long and almost two inches wide finely fullered and decorated with repetitive stamp decoration and maker stamp. Most probably of European origin. The handle is wrapped with embossed silver. The scabbard is covered with fabric and mounted with silver locket and chape. Total length 42 inches. It is n impressive sword in very good condition. Losses to the stamping. Blade with minor grinding traces. |
