This very good Parang sword is coming from Java. Late 19 - early 20C. Well made 23 inches long blade. Thick and heavy with a 5 inches down curving back edge. The entire blade is inlaid with silver decoration (may be inscriptions in part). Very finely carved wood handle with a large white metal collar. Wood scabbard with white metal mounts. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. Minor damage to the white metal mounts.
