This long and heavy spear is African, most probably used by the Ngbandi and/or Yakoma people from Zaire. heavy blade, barbed with multiple series of barbs and with a long socket. Total blade length 22 inches. Wood haft with swollen tail bound with copper, brass and iron strips and wires. Total length 67 inches. Very good condition. Minor losses to the metal binding on the haft. Original and authentic spear, circa 1920.
