Up for sale is this Khanjar , an interesting mix of the Turkish and Persian styles. Mid to late 19 C. employing a fine Persian made Wootz (Damascus, Watered) blade. I shaped elephant Ivory grip. Wood scabbard covered with black tooled leather with spiral stitching. Blade length 7 1/2, total 14 inches. Very good condition. Age cracks on the handle. Small losses to the leather cover and the stitching. The blade and scabbard are of typical Turkish origin whereas the blade construction and the grip style are very Persian.
