This Jambiya dagger is Yemenite, coming from South Yemen and known also as Hejaz Jambiya. It is late 19C. Finely forged Blade with pronounced central rib 8 inches long. Rhino horn handle with good age color decorated with silver mounts and silver and lead nails. Silver panel on the back. Finely chased and pierced silver scabbard partially gilded. Total length 14 ½ inches. Very good condition. Few silver parts on the handle are missing. Small dents on the scabbard tip. Impressive dagger.
