This Pedang Lurus sword from java, Indonesia employ a rare 18C. blade signed by the VOC (Vereenigde Oost-Indisch Compagnie) (United East Indian Company) and dated 1763. Very well made blade, most probably of laminated steel, 19 inches long. Later, 19C. finely chased silver handle and scabbard. Total length 24 1/2 inches. Very good plus condition.
