We are not at all sure that this is Indian. It is surely very unusual. The 5 1/2 inches steel blade is screwed on to a long steel socket, and over it there is a brass and iron structure, nicely stamped with geometrical motives and with small brass and steel spikes riveted to it. It can be removed by un-screwing the blade from its socket. Probably a ceremonial addition to a long spear. Long wood haft. Total length 67 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the wood haft. An unusual item.
