This very rare form of Klewang is from the Molukas islands in Indonesia. It is characterized by the short heavy blade widening to its maximum width near the tip and the down curving handle. This one has a heavy 23 inches blade, widening to 3 inches. Clipped tip. Horn handle bound with rattan fibers. Total length 31 inches. Good condition, few old forging repairs of the edge. A rare sword.
