This very fine large spear is Thai, late 19C. 16 ½ inches massive blade of hollow ground diamond cross section. 12 1/2 inches silver collar decorated with niello enamel work of typical Thai design. Bamboo shaft narrowing toward the tail for good balance, with bronze tip. Total length 91 ½ inches. Very good condition, some dark spots to the blade. Shining untouched dark age patina on the haft.
